NEWBIE CHALLENGE 2 (MARCH) - OPEN TO ALL COMERS - THEME CONES

Hi all
We managed to lose our previous thread (peaches and cream), but here is a new newbie challenge for March. This is open to anyone who wants to join in (newbie or seasoned pro) and the aim is to practise your art on a particular theme....
So, given that I saw the most amazing pair of cone beads at Bastet's beads and missed out on winning them, I decided we could all have a go at cones. The more adventurous of us might like to try encase or embellished cones like Corina's (and Dora's) or a cone that shows off a particular type of glass. My own personal challenge will be to try to get a matching pair for earrings.......
Final posting to be by 31 March....

Well, the bead is a bit pants, but at least it's a cone...kinda...

Amber love yours, that colour combo is fab

Made my first cone yesterday & I'm quite pleased with it.
Red Copper Green with raked Silver Blue frit
I've yet to anneal it & knowing this combo it will probably change colour in the kiln!!!

Here goes!  I'm not overly keen on the bead, but the shape isn't too bad for a second attempt !
