i have just bought a torch marver and graphite paddle. how can i clean them so that i get rid of most of the black stuff that comes off when you touch them.  what should i use to clean them?  :)

You will be cleaning forever, thats what graphite does ;)

does it affect the bead when you roll it over the marver or does it burn off again on the flame?

silly questions maybe, but i'm really grateful for any input.  ::)  i haven't fitted it yet, so haven't had chance to try it out.  ::)

I don't think it does anything - that's why the glass doesn't stick. You can use graphite to lubricate things - amazing stuff :)

graphite will burn off - but not so as you'd notice.. we just recommend a wipe down with a wet towel or dishcloth every now and then to keep the worst of the dust off the glass.. the surface does slowly break down with use... it almost "erodes" with the combination of heat and rolling glass.. but they last forever, and it causes no damage to the glas..
