Hello
I wonder if I could ask some advice.  I have made quite a few pretty fused glass necklaces but am finding it difficult to get really nice looking necklace cord/thread to use to hang the piece.
A while ago I purchased some cord that is like ribbon and rope mixed together you can buy it anywhere in different colours but it makes the piece look really cheap.  I want to make the finished pieces look more class and expensive but the ribbon and threads make it look cheap.  I also am not keen on chain.
I would love to hear ideas or recommendations of how to present glass necklaces.  I usually attach a bail to the back of the piece and then string the ribbon through, this is the sort of ribbon I have tried using but people do not seem to like it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=necklace+ribbons&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Anecklace+ribbons
Thank you for any advice.

Does it have to be on ribbon ?
You can get rolled leather which makes a nice alternative and would last better.
I find ribbon goes shabby rather quickly if its worn often.

Hi thank you no I would prefer not ribbon I agree with you.  Do you know where I could get rolled leather from online at all pls? I have not seen it before

Beads Direct have quite a good selection of round leather cords - https://www.beadsdirect.co.uk/stringing/leather-cord/real-faux
They also do coated cotton cords.
Amanda Muddimer at Mangobeads also sells lovely soft rolled leather necklets which already have a clasp fitting so the beads/pendant can simply be slipped on.
