Mica powder

 8)Any hints on using mica powder? I watched a video on You Tube but not sure what sort of thickness I should be aiming for and can you use it just as a powder, without mixing it with PVA? TIA

Make sure it's fully encased and doesn't poke out from the edges. I think if you look for chewysmum on youtube, the lovely Dee did a video on using mica powder with pva glue.

Thanks  - I've seen Dee's video (very helpful) but she doesn't say how thick it should be and whether you can use it as just a powder.

Yes, you can use it as a powder, just keep it away from the edges, as Jeanette says.

You can use it on textured glass, brush it into the dips and cap it with flat glass, you get the pattern of the texture. But if you get it near an edge it kind of squirts out and looks horrible!
