I have a fusing question

If I fuse my glass (to  standard schedules) would it be weather proof – someone has asked me if I can make a house number for them.
My beads have survived outside, but I've never tried it with fused work!

Thanks

A lot of my fused stuff has been hanging outside for a couple of years now and it is fine the only issue I had was the copper hangers weathered through.

I thought it would be ok   .. I've just never done it!

All of them went through the frosts with no problem as well

I've seen other peoples' fused glass displayed outside with no problems, but I haven't tried any of mine yet.  They're so small (made in an SC2) that I'd probably lose them in the jungle that I like to call a garden!

we've successfully used house numbers,  - made a mould and filled it with frit, and they've withstood the last 4 Scottish winters (and summers), so I'd say that they'll stand pretty much anything

If you use nichrome wire rather than copper you should find that weathers better.
