Just wondered if anyone could advise me on whether anti tarnish tabs/strips etc are any good, and if so, which ones you'd recommend please. I know Palmer metals do them but there seem to be lots of different types out there - any help appreciated!

I bought some in from Intercept in the US a couple of years ago and didn't find they helped at all.  After people said they were good, I bought more from Palmers and new made jewellery, straight into a grip seal bag with a Palmers tab, as much air as I can remove is removed and within a couple of months it is all tarnished. They say 1 tab is enough for x square cms, so initially I put several of them inside my fairs stock box with earrings on stands ready to go out - they tarnished between weekly fairs. :( I can't say I'm impressed or would recommend.

If I'm doing something wrong, sopmeone please tell me, because I'm thinking these plastic squares are up there with the 'Emperor's new clothes'.

Thanks for this, Sue - from your experiences, they don't sound too promising.

Anyone else tried them?
