Well I was so relieved to find it was something simple and so easy to fix

I thought it was you Emma that I spoke to, but I wasnt 100% sure Thanks again.

He worked like a dream yesterday .....I think I have got my mojo back as I wake up in the the morning thinking about beads again!!!!!

MAGIC......from the lovely lady at tuffnels.

She told me that the unit had a battery back up, so the  red light can be on even if the mains power is not getting to the unit.

I plugged it into a different power strip and it works...... soooo happy

Mine's done that to me as well - worrying until you know what the problem is!
