Hi All,

Hope eveyone is having a nice day  :)

I have just read in one of my lampworking books that good old Aluminium Foil can be used instead of silver leaf or the more expensive palladium leaf.

So my question is.... Has anyone used or tried it & if so what workng methods would you advise?

Thanks in advance,

Lou

Not lampworking, but I have used it in a couple of fused coasters; perhaps lampworking may result in something similar.
Result went a little like this:

The tinfoil's the stuff that went brown and produced some bubbles. Which is fun if you want it to happen, but the size of the bubbles seems a tad unpredictable.

Am I correct in saying that the Aluminium Foil is in the center/focal part?

Just modified my message to say:

CORR  love your work - loves it!

I looked at the above & have spent far too many hours on this subject, all to be streamed at using Aluminium Foil - seams to be more capable/forgiving under the upper temps...
we shall see.  :-\
