Just wondered how useful people find these? I think I saw a while ago a lady advertising them for sale here, but for the life of me I can't find the thread now.. :-\

They look like a brilliant idea, at the moment I use a mini electric grill thingy, but it's quite hard to get the hot glass back in with one hand. without melting chunks of plastic round the edge - smells lovely! :D

Would love some opinions..., thanks guys

My DH made me a Porta Canna after we came back from Venice and we saw them being used. I find that this is great for warming the rods but it also gets them off the deck leaving me more space for my tools and stuff. If the rod is very shocky though, i warm it up in the kiln door flap.

I pop my fritty rods on the top of the kiln.  There have been two pistachio ones sitting up there for a year now waiting for me to reach for them.

I also pop rods on top of the kiln to warm up.

Got one of the tiny hot plates for warming murrini - it was sold for warming scented wax but it works a treat - even takes a coffee mug . . . . .

Watch this space for new Etsy shop . . .
