What's the weirdest thing you use to ... I dunno.. make a mark or shape your glass? Like a brass donkey for that authentic "hoof" print. Or a doll's hairbrush.

Pat from Canvey

Spoons, definately, all different shapes and sizes.

A brass crumb tray.
It has various embellishments, it holds frit and the back makes a great marver

turnedlight

I use old feeler gauges from car maintenance instead of a knife blade for making grooves etc..

I use jam tart tin foil trays to put a pile of frit onto and then they fold in half easily to pour the frit back into the pot!!

I use an old borax dish for my frit, or some white china petit four dishes from the days when people had dinner parties.  And a small Tupperware funnel to get it back into the containers.

I used to use funny shaped bits from a multi-screwdriver to decorate ceramic fish that I raku fired - great for that rainbow trout look (but that's not glass).

Yup, that is exactly what it is except mine is teeny tiny and I bought it off ebay with another use in mind for it......embossing metal I think but found it useful as a lampwork tool.

I just had a look for it on ebay and can't remember for the life of me what it was called, I only found out it actually was an ear spoon when I saw one on those antique programmes, they were selling it as something else.

It is about an inch long and unscrews to show a itty spoon, it's very sweet.........and lost at the moment ::)
