Not sure where to put this but I got a gripie from Sally (polly put the kettle on) and just wanted to say that I love it, very clever design and brilliant for stringer work. I got the smaller version. Am going to try it out with the earstuds tut that's been going around too. An added bonus is that I can find it on my table amongst the wreckage that it becomes after an hour or two.

There are two different ones for shorts and stringers
they are £4.50 each or two for £8.00 available from the Fyrebirds stall at the Flame off

The solid colour handle is for short rods and the multi colour is designed to be used with strings

They are brilliant - I have been using mine. Very sturdy, grips the glass very well and has the added advantage of being on a mandrel so feels great to work with
