Vermiculite & beads...

How long should I leave my beads in the vermiculite? It's been just over an hour and I'M reeeeeallly impatient!

Only a tiny bit longer give them another hour or so and stick your hand in for a rummage if they feel cool take em out ! How exiting !

Thanks Manda! Will post pics if they're any good...they looked great before they went in, but so did the last lot - and they came out looking like mushrooms with bits of vermiculite stuck to them!

I have done that too, they are going in the vermiculate when they are too hot. I let them cool down just so you can start to see the colour coming back into the glass.
