I had the idea and bought the steel sheets last Christmas - proof that, when I come out with 'I have this idea...' and nothing happens, it doesn't mean it'll never happen  ;D ;D ;D

May I introduce: The FRIT BAR

....and, while I was at it, a notice board (with lampworked magnets, of course):

Thanks - once I actually started, it was really quick to do - they're sprayed with car spray paint, covered in clear vinyl (so I don't have to worry about scratches), and 12x1mm neodymium magnets glued to the lids - they're meant to hold up to 1lb in weight, which I don't quite believe (not vertically, anyway), but so far, they've all stayed up  ;D

Oh, where do you get those magnets from Sabine?  I made some camper van fridge magnets and was going to make more fused ones, but the ones I used slide down the fridge!!!

ETA: Never mind Sabine, Google is my friend - I've never heard of these before x   Fab storage/display idea!

Here you go, Dawn, just look for the right size that you want - I used 12x1mm discs or the frit, and 6x2mm discs for the lampworked magnets - they all happily hold thick cardboard or tons of sheets of paper up:

And a reminder to refresh page before editing a post  ;D

Thank you Sabine x

What a brilliant idea Sabine, my work area might now get re-vamped.  :)

sparrow

Thanks  :D It's hard to see on the photo, but it looks nice and colourful in real life, and I think, in time, a natural geography (according to colours and/or frequency used) will develop on the board  ;D ;D
