OK, as you may know I have made batch after batch of beads in what I call spring garden colours ie cranberry, effetre white, elphaba, effetre 006, & effertre grass green. They feature in my banner  ;)

I can't for the life of me make the cranberry encased effetre white ones without them cracking  >:(

I have always used the annealing schedule pre programmed on the maxine and never had a problem before. Has anyone else got this problem? I'm wondering if it's a bad batch of glass or something.

I'm doing my nut as for 3 days in a row I've made perfect beads (I want them to photograph for my GBUK journal entry) that have to be ditched  :'( :'( :'(

Kaz

I had a similar problem with a batch of cranberry unique (the paler one) but was told no-one else had had a problem. I chucked it away. The latest batch of Rubino may be worth trying.
Put one of your multiple button photos in the GBUK journal!

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

There was a thread on LE about batches of cranberry cracking. (My single rod of it developed cracks over white too when I did some rubino comparison beads a while ago).

Oh phew! It's not just me then  ;D I can live with that.
Thanks Kaz, I was thinking about that option with the buttons too - maybe that is the best plan  :)

Take photos of buttons they are gorgeous!  :)They will look great in the journal.

As the person who will be pulling all the photos and text together for the journal I would definitely use the pics of your buttons.  ;D

Just make sure they are really good quality pics!

Is the Cranberry from CiM ?

I've had problems encasing Effetre white with CiM Cranberry - every bead cracked. Very annoying.

Thought it was me at first but I think I picked up somewhere that it could be a bit 'fussy'. Still annoying though.

Redhotsal

Are you using "soft" white? If so it's probably Anice and will give you all sorts of problems with cranberry encasing.

Veebee

Can't help with the cranberry but Yes, button piccies for the journal, pleeeeeease  ;D

well the journal will have button photo's and I have cracked (pardon the pun) the cranberry problem, one stupid troublesome batch! Trouble is I have two different batches in the same pidgeon hole - mental note to make a pink test bead first  :-\
