Madam Steph

Wonder if anyone can help, please?

I just went to turn on the kiln to start torching, and I have just TWO mandrels dipped!

I'm usually very organised..... clean dry and redip asap, but I was cleaning last nights work late and forgot to dip them before I went to bed.

I've just dipped about 3 dozen. How long will Fusion take to dry?

I don't want to go the way of flame drying

Hamilton Taylor

Not long-  esp. if you put your container on top of the kiln.
There is no problem flame-drying fusion - just waft right at the back, just outside what you can see of the flame, to drive the water off, and be careful not to boil it so it goes bubbly - then once you've done 2 or 3 beads, the rest of your mandrels will probably be dry!

Many thanks, Sean.

I will turn that kiln on now then :)
