Diane, I noticed that too.  My bench in the porch used to feel too high so I had my new one a bit lower, but its too low now!  I'm getting more backache than ever and can't rest my elbows

That's exactly what she said to us on the course at Creative Glass weekend, that she sits as a jeweller would to get close to the work. Apparently she is teased by other flameworkers that she uses the marver as a chin rest 

I have to say having tried it, some things are easier but I'm struggling with others, probably just takes getting used to.

That was very interesting.  The interviewer was a wee bit on the condescending side!

I was interested by the hight of her torch too.  Might try dropping the chair later see what happens
