Boro Gallery December 2010

A commission I was asked to do. I'd previously made a 'comet' with blue glass, and I had a lady ask if I could make the same but with red glass and an opal inside. I think it's worked quite well, reminds me of those 'sacred hearts' I've seen in paintings and tattoos. The red is GA Cherrywood, with TAG Sable frit in the bottom.

i was using one with brass pins and a lead base
but i found a company in Canada wich sells Stainless
steel ones here is the link http://www.pinfrog.com/
and if you look on google for Ikebana you will find
the lead/brass ones in the UK  ;)

Half a chess set! Half to go.... I reckon this is a cross between Staunton and Isle of Lewis, with just a touch of Corpse Bride  :D

Wow, I'd missed the chess set! So much beautiful work! I know I don't post here often, but I come and ogle lots!

For some reason, I always seem to get ative towards the end of the month, just as there's a new thread looming, but, here's my contribution, just clear, but boro this time, sandblasted.

All of these glassy things are so wonderful, the chess set is absolutely fantastic. You are all very talented people and make my success look very small. However, I am going to post my efforts; not great but getting there!
