Enchanted Cobwebs

I'm overcoming all the potential hazzards with alarms and precautions now I have a propane leak detector, carbon monoxide detector, stainless steel surfaces, fireblanket, fire extinguisher, lek detector fluid and working on extraction. My propane will be inside my house in my workroom (hence my concerns) and I have two other questions that I need to know the answer to before I will feel confident to switch on!

I'm using the oxycon kit from tuffnells so its got the flashback arrester for the propane and I have the oxycon. Martin told me that this device is to make it all safe, I have no reason to doubt him but because I know so little I think I need to just be certain.

1 - Does the flashback arrester prevent the tank from having a flame travel to it via the hose and blow it up?
2 - What might cause the tank to blow so I can totally eliminate the risk (I understand if the tank is engulfed in fire but what else?)

Maybe I'm too scared to be let loose on beads but I want to do this more than anything.

I really appreciate all your help, thanks all in advance again

Thank you Tan, I'm starting to feel a bit less jittery. I was also scared of mapp gas!

I will use up this 13kg tank but I wish I'd got the quick releases that Martin has for sale and the smallest baby propane so I could just carry it downstairs at the end of each session. Hubby insisted 13 kg was better value but even then I could hear my inner voice saying but I want the little one...now I know why
Hopefully soon I will be melting again
Thanks
Helen
