My big tank has just run out, right in the middle of making a marble that would make John Kobuki weep with envy, well, thats my story anyway  ;D ;D ;D


If it's got a hole, it's a bead !

Good plan! I've left marbles that needed more work in a cold kiln (after they had already been annealed) and let them warm up with the kiln, then about an hour later take them out and warm them up at the top of the flame gently (and sitting well back just in case!  :o ) and normally I can then rework them. Mostly I end up having to take out dents where I'd put them too warm into the kiln and ended up flattening one side!  :-[

There's me reading the title of this thread looking for a glass bottom!

Good idea about warming up over top of flame, best way to go. Bring it gently down through flame and continue working.

That is utter buggeration indeed, tear inducing :'(

My hubby has a very nice glass bum (bead that is :D), made quite a long time ago by a lovely member of FH (you know who you are  ;) )
