Can't wait to create, using SC2 for 1st time

OK, I'm just about to fire up my SC2 for the first time.  I've got the mandrel rest on for the bead door, do I then put the shelf in and rest the mandrel/beads on the shelf.  Otherwise it looks like they will rest on the bottom of the kiln and that can't be right!?!?

Hi Julie, I have removed the outside mandrel rest from my SC2 and use an internal bead rest (got it from Tuffnells) I don't ever have beads on the floor of my kiln, always worried about that! But anyway I expect someone with more experience will be along shortly to advise!
