I can't seem to make frit beads, i make the bead roll it in frit then melt. All fine but the problem is once it is done there seems to be little holes on the bead around the frit. Am i heating it up too much? is it just a reaction? it seems to happen with most of my frit beads i have made  :'(.

I sometimes get this if the frit has some reactive glass in it.

You do need to be fairly gentle when melting in frit. For example, if you see the frit "popping" while you're heating it, then you probably are working it too hot.

Thanks, i do tend to boil the glass a bit. I'm to impatient for my own good  :-[.
I didn't think i was boiling the frit, i'll have another little play about :0).

I have sometimes found this happening, esp when using blue / turquoise colours. I am using a hothead so I think it may be a reaction of the frit or glass rather than overheating. With most other colours I don't seem to get the same problem.
