I am pleased with it.  just wanting to get it home now, but I think the earliest it will get fired is saturday.  My tutor is going to get such a shock when she sees it last time she saw it it was at the swirly stage and I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to finish it this saturday.  I am going to email her this evening (hopefully I will remember!) so that she knows what's going on!

Excuse my ignorance but is it painted glass?

yes,  the black is painted on ceramic enamel and the lines are outline 'pen' (enamels in a medium in a bottle so it's easier to conrtol) and then all the other colours enamel paints
