Lauscha glass

Ive got a bag of glass that is marked...farbglashutte lauscha, so I put a search in as I dont know what it is. It came up are you looking for Sascha .. well no Im not but as a newbie I dont know what Lauscha is, so can anyone help? is it special? or not, do I use it like my effetre , I have googled it and it brought a shop up selling it but no info.  Meant to say this came with my starter kit that I bought second hand so thats why no info

Lauscha is German glass, 104, and lovely, there are some gorgeous colours. It is generally a bit stiffer than the Italian 104, it doesnt always play nicely with the silver glasses though.

As for is it special it depends which colours you have, like Effetre and vetro there are sometimes Lauscha specials.

Thanks Becky I dont know what colour numbers they are as nothing is labelled, so I think I will leave it till I am a bit more experienced

Lauscha is really lovely glass to play with but there are a few compatability issues with other 104 glasses, some of the colours are just scrumptious and none of the other companies seem to do those colours

Lauscha has some really special colors like cocoa , a greyish brown that makes wonderful effects. If you decorate it with white or light turquoise stringer, you will get separation lines in the middle of the stringer; and if you make dots, you will get darker small dots in the middle. Lauscha opaque purple does the same trick. They have a wonderful soft clear that is great for learning to encase, as it is less stiff then most other clears on the market. If you make beads with pure silver dots and encase them with Lauscha, the silver will turn gold color.
But be careful with silver glasses, most Lauscha colors do not go well with them, there are compatibility issues.
