Does anyone else do this? I am a newbie to lampworking but love it.
I have been making lots of beads today well..about 13..which is a lot for me and the third time alone. There was some popping of glass and some fly offs...so when I came to clean up when beads were in the kiln there was quite a few tiny pieces of rod over workbench, in pinks Turquoise and greens and clear...so I gathered them all up put them in a sieve gave them a good rinse and then dried them with a hair dryer then ground them down in a Mortar and pestle and now they are in a clear jar... and my own home made Frit...I am so chuffed I could crush a grape lols...tell me I am not mad please? ;D Vonnie

i divide my longer shorts into colours and use for making my landscape beads etc ....its a bit pot luck but that kinda works ...but to save my fingers i bought a rod holder from tuffers the other week ......fab .....but remember to soak the paper label off the rods first  ::)

i save my tiny shorts for frit but not made any yet  :-\
