Newbie problem - is my Hothead not hot enough, or is it the glass?

I ended up fixing my HH bracket on the bench upside down and then bent the flap away from me to get the torch at a sensible angle. For my elbows I have 2 dinky little samples of Tempur mattresses (about 4in square and 2in deep and fully made up like tempur mattresses!) which are great as I can slide them around on my worktop surface (tiled) without having to lift my elbows and so can change my position smoothly and comfortably. My friend is a tempur rep and she is stunned by what I use her samples for!

I've ordered some of the arm rest thingies from Tuffnell's thinking I'd nothing like Tempur.  Just spotted an old ortho pillow in my loft!  Oh well, will keep it for plan B, not tempur but must be something similar.  Must have been put there after a 'visitors coming' moment.
