SC2 Resting on what?

Hiya, I've currently got my SC2 on the frame I got with it (on ebay) but if I move it on top of my undercounter freezer it would reach without an extension lead to my cooker socket... do I need to put anything on top of the freezer first? a piece of worktop? a firesheet thing?
Any ideas greatfully recieved.
