Delana

wow!!! Glad you guys liked the idea!

Margram  Lovely beads......hollow?  I'm crap at hollow beads  :-\
Jolene....love the red set
Helbels....that top set would be my choice
Scarlet....ditto on the wish to torch at least once more in 2010!  Lovely necklaces!
Kaz....wow!! Those are so very lovely!!
Nice photo of you at the torch SG and the colors in that cabochon
Another DH addict!  Beautiful Turnedlight!  Sorry I can't help you with the photos....I consider it a miracle that I can post photos on here at all  :)

Well....'sculptural' work stresses me out but I did make one rather nice octopus once and everyone wants to buy him so I did try to make more in 2010 and here's one that I was kind of pleased with.

I've even trained him to sit on my hand...

And since I'm no good at making hollows I came up with what I call my 'Bridge' Beads in 2009 and this is a photo of a nice set from 2010

My efforts are somewhere way behind most of you guys, but I've only been making beads for a year.  Been difficult to choose as I have tried so many different techniques and there are lots of favourites and but not many really good beads.  But if forced to choose it would be these.  My first BHB and the first time I seem to begetting results from R. Dark Multi (it's in the murrini) encasing not good in a technical way, but I like the result I got.

This is a great thread, and a lovely idea to look back over the year - there are some real treats  :)

I've really enjoyed learning more about glass in all sorts of ways this year, from sculptural to blown:

but at the moment I'm most proud of the chess sets I've just finished. They may not be perfect, but I couldn't even have attempted them 12 months ago and they use skills I've learnt over the last year.
