You did a great job there Pat, I wouldn't have guessed you did it that way!
I have to say I really love that cool cat, he could come and live with me any day :)
I have treated myself to a new heart press, it is huge, but just the shape I wanted, curvy but flattish so it sits nicely (hopefully!) I ran out of design inspiration, but here goes..

here's the results of my transfer experiments, I really messed up encasing the first but the transfer didn't break up or anything - really impressed! The second went fine but I didn't intend it to be yellow, it was a lovely pale straw but I had to reheat and it struck.. hey ho..

:)

Karin: I love the cat!
Sue: gorgeous heart, and I love the bottom set.

Here I have a Vetrofond med lapis lentil with silver green frit - verrry dark, but you can see it a bit. Then there's silver blue lustre, reduced iris green and silver green frit, all on uranium yellow.

Here's some more of my murrini on beads.

So much lovely work. I adore that cat. Love your new focals Agija. Those blue ones are lovely Trudi. As usual I love all your beads Kathryn.

I had a better day yesterday including these and a matching focal

I can't look at those without humming the theme tune to Dr Who....cheers for that!  They are truly fab and funkeh :D
Me too! I think Dr Who Fans would bite your arm off for those!
Lovely stuff on this week, time for something strange from me as I play with radio valve ideas again  :-\
I broke the outside glass for the long one (it's about 5inches long) when I first did it, but I liked the internal components so fitted a new one but some of the metal parts suffered a bit from the extra heat. I'll use the blow-hole on the right to attach some copper wire weirdness and the long glass ends will (eventually) be inserted into a wooden box with brass discs around them too. I'll need to make some more odd ones to go with them first

What a wealth of different styles there are in here :D

I have some clio shard lentils to show

My, my! That beach looks so real! Beautiful! I really love these beach/rock pool themes.

Here's something to make y'all have a laugh (its OK :) ). After seeing the wonderful police boxes and the discussions on Dr Who, I figured 'why noy a dalek?'
Having had a go - I see why not! But I am a beginner so y'all forgive me. He's more squiffy kitty in a dress than dalek, but hey - who cares!

And I'm still working on stringer control. (All my beads hang to the right - got to work on that too!)

Gorgeous beads from EVERYONE  :D

just a couple of beads from me, terrible pictures sorry  ::)

this set is very much a work in progress, not perfect by any means, but I have lots of ideas, I just need to get them more slick looking

Wow, superb stuff, I especially like Trudi's faux boro and jenniewren's octopi, very cool,

right then, newbie tentatively posting here, I've had about 8 hours on my torch, which I took ages to persaude myself to buy, and I'm so glad i did, I've finally managed some round, presentable beads.

then I had a couple of goes at encasing, the fugly stash inceased at this point! but here's one I'm prepared to show,

now please don't chuckle too much, but this is my 4th attempt to post these, learning by repetition is always good, Aggggh!

thanks for looking

Vicki, love the top set!

Here's what I've been doing this week:

More murrini. I was trying to do something complicated with the first ones and have two sets of stripes and ended up with a gather I only just managed to heat enough to pull on my hothead, so I think I'll leave that for a while  :P
So I went to a simple one and did rainbow stripes round the outside.

Here we have a gravity swirl of CiM adamantium and dirty martini, the above murrini on Reichenbach mystic grey-blue and on Reichenbach magic (with coral on the lentil), not that I got it to do much here. And the one on the right has my periwinkle murrini.

Critters! A kitty in magic and one in greys. Owl in multicolour dark (the eyes were supposed to be amber, but I picked up a striking orange stringer...) and a cow bead  ;D
