Hello all

I managed to get hold of some very fine clear frit, to try to make some "sugar" beads with today.

I made my bead, rolled it in the frit while still glowing (to get it to stick) then removed and cooled it and put it in the fibre blanket.

When I took it out - all the frit had gone!  Melted into the bead.. I assume melted by the residual heat from the bead as it's so fine.

I presume I am doing something very numpty-ish here, but I'm  not sure what....

Can anyone help?

Thank you! ;D

Les

Maybe try letting your bead cool for longer once you've rounded it up ? Then just give the surface a sharp heat, then roll in frit ... there should be less heat in the core of the bead to radiate out toward the frit that way.... IFSWIM ??
