Come on all you frit addicts... How do you do it?! I just can't work out what to put it all in to keep it organised!

;D

Thats a great question! I'd love a storage system that wasn't several assorted small pots thrown together..  :D

Well, at the moment, I have a pile of tubs on top of my play tray... And I keep dropping bits when I try to find the one I want!

I use old spice racks fixed to the wall, if I could find my blooming camera charger I'd take a pic!

I keep mine in what I assume Asda think are spice storage pots.

Not sure how to describe them but they are clear plastic with vacuum seal lids - they look like mini size wheelie bins about 3" high and the best part is they are only 24p each.

I keep shards, bead cleaner etc in the next size up.

Big plus of the lids is that you can remove them one handed but once shut they don't fall off when you drop the pot . . . . for this reason I also use them to store "bulk purchase" seed beads.

Every time I take my mother shopping in Asda, I pick up a dozen . . .

I copied Diana East and bought myself one of those two tier stainless steel kitchen trolleys (think they are for vegetables), its on wheels as well.  So I tuck it under the table when I am not using it and wheel it out at the side of me when I want frit.  Its also handy for resting a book on when I am trying to read a tutorial at the same time as making something (not recommended by the way).  It cost me £12 in Waitrose/John Lewis.  Most of my frit is in pots so they go in the top tray and all my enamels are in the bottom tray.  I love it.

We have eaten lots of TicTacs and I also grab the little plastic holders the packs come in  ;D they are great for frit and seed beads.

I also have one of the trays like Beady Sam uses for her play trays.. but its from Tuffnells I really like these because they have the clear lids and fit the sample bags easily.

I have a load of Sam's sample pots in a rack made by my OH

Its a very simple design and could probably be amended to hold the larger pots. I love it cos I can see the colours of the frit from the underside.

Its now all colour co-ordinated and has Sam's logo on the top (which I stole from her website!!  :o )

I am sure I read here somewhere about some clever soul who uses 2nd hand 'lazy Susan' to put them on so they can spin it around to get exactly the one they want. Seems like a really good idea to me - but I'm still trying to find one in my local 2nd shops!

that's so unfair.

My oh is a chippie, but I'd have to be really nice to him to get one of these. And I have a headache.
