Has anyone tried copper foil?  There's a little pack in my local arty shop, the ingredient is listed as soluble copper.  There is also a silver coloured version.

I might buy a pack, it's not expensive, ( which worries me a little! ), and have a wee play.

But if anyone has already done so....?

Soluble copper? Not sure what that means. I've used the foil for stained glass, it goes pink/red under clear, and I've used copper leaf (it burns off and leaves verdigris green). As you say, it's worth a try!

I have tried using some faux silver leaf as well as some faux gold from my local arts shop...the results were not exactly as I expected!  Lots of bubbles and green burnt bits if I remember right, but the bead did survive the batch anneal.  It was in my fugly jar for ages until someone liked it and picked it out! ;D
