Should I clean my presses and if I should, how ?  ;D ;D

If it's got a hole, it's a bead !

I just blow on mine before using them, to ensure I get rid of any stray bead release, but now you've got me thinking......

I only get rid of beadrelease but furthermore I don't do anything special with my presses.

I've found a link on brass tool care with some nice tips in it:

I know a lot of the American people use beeswax too on their brass but personally I do not like that because it tends to stick on my beads, but maybe I use it just wrong.

My MIL came over last week, cussing and swearing because she was "so bored she'd even had to clean the brass"...now I know what to suggest she does this week!! ;D ;D

I have to say I've never cleaned mine other than to give 'em a quick wipe if they've got bead release on...

I've heard they work better after being used a while, like a seasoned pan. That's my excuse for not doing more than brush them!

Lush!

I keep a 1 inch paintbrush on hand to get rid of stray bead release, that's about as far as my press-cleaning goes  ;D

Dragonfire Glass

Tip it up, give it a tap, and a blow  ;D

Steampunkglass

Occasional run under cold water to get rid of dust (and sometimes to cool them down if I've been over-using them!)

Thanks everyone... I usually just tap and blow... but I think I'll give them a run under the tap to get rid of the dust in the corners

I use a little chunky blusher brush!
