I had a couple of truly stuck beads and no flat diet coke around so I tried soaking them in cillit bang - easy peasy to slide them off afterwards :)

Thank you for that tip - yesterday I got my first ever really really stuck bead that I actually want to keep. I'll try it tomorrow.

Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth "you owe me".

Ciilit Bang is a miracle chemical.
You can use it to remove stuck beads, remove the dark grey "scum" on turquoise glass and I use it to pickle silver with. It's absolutely fantastic.
However since the bloke on the advert stopped SHOUTING they've changed the formulation a little  ???  and it's actually not as effective as it was. Don't get the one with bleach in as that doesn't work.

I was going to ask which one - aren't there about three?

ooo- I have some abandoned in the window, been there for months, thanks for tip (and about the silver pickle) will give that a try. This place is so handy for tips!

(I reckon the cilit bang man used it once in his ears, that's why he shouts - BANG! AND MY EARDRUMS HAVE GONE!)
