have been enjoying the chat about double helix and the fantastic colours you can get,
then claire mentions the DH site, i look, i love......
what are the chances of getting good results with a hot head?
I have saved "julies striking guide"
i realise that some of these special glasses are easier than others  ,
which if any are worth having a go with my trusty hot head?
please advice oh wise ones, xx

I use a hot head - have got a few Psyche pics in the show and tell from Sunday. I can get colour out of Psyche, Terra (sometimes!), Kronos 2, occasionally Aion. Haven't really tried Gaia or Nyx, although I do have some. I'm not planning on getting Luna or Terranova as they need to be heated up loads and I don't think my torch would manage it. I'd say give it a go, although the glass is a bit expensive.

I used to get color from Kronos 2 and elektra on my hothead - Kronos 2 was easiest to work. I'm on a minor now so haven't tried the more recent glasses on a hothead.

If you go for the reduction ones, like Gaia, Elektra, Kronos, psyche - they will probably work wonderfully on a Hot Head to be honest as the torch is ever so slightly reducing anyway, especially on bulk. You just need to make your little foil collar for it for the reduction.

Just be wary of terra, and children of terra (terranova and luna) as they really do need a good old heat up.

Try a selection pack - I use a hothead, and find you can get nice colours from aion, and small amounts of terra, and it seems you can get most of them to go shiny silver.
