I have some 1" rod ends that I would like to try using in a pot melt - does anyone do this? Am I likely to run into any problems?  Had a quick look but was unable to find anything specific regarding rod ends!

Advise appreciated  ;D

I think Pat is your woman, she's done lots of pot melts  :)

Here's one thread of hers: http://www.frit-happens.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=38115.msg611871#msg611871

Thanks Julie. If you want to know more about pot melts, you can find more info on     http://kiloalphatango.com/search/node/pot%20melts
It's my daughter's website and she lets me post on there. Not much lately as I've been having a bit of a break from glass. I suggest you start with a small melt. You can buy tiny terracotta pots from Hobbycraft and put just a few bits of coloured ends in with  lots of clear otherwise you might end up with a "muddy" disc. Weigh the glass before you start so that you can see what amount gives you what sized disc. Most of all have fun.

Thanks Pat, looking forward to having a play  ;D
