Hi there

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting (Big Yawn) for some Dichro stringers from Christina and they have still not arrived....... :'(

But....

Calico Cat (Carol) very kindly gave me some dichro glass but I need to fuse it and I have no idea how I do this.  We talked briefly about it at Di's Do and Di said I can fuse it in my Beadcube but I don't know where to start.  My Beadcube is programmed to anneal my beads and to be honest I've only ever set it for programme 1 (annealing) and let it run. ???

So.....

If anyone can advise me (idiot's guide required) on how to pre-fuse the Dichro Carol very kindly supplied me with I'll be eternally grateful.  Please take pity on me.

Hi

You'll need a shelf and either some fibre paper or a shelf with kiln wash

Cut up your dicro, place it coated side down and the schedule is

(speed  - temp - hold time)
300 -  600 -  0
500 - 735 - 10
900 - 516 - 15
80 – 371 - 1

have fun!  :)

Thanks for that Trudi can you tell me where I can get some Fibre paper from?  Sorry to be such a dunce but never tried this before  ::)

I'm not quite sure I understand the beadcube settings but I hope it will all become clear when I take the list of settings out to the studio and see what happens.
