Has any one tried to make some?  Would love to see one made and applied so it looks like a flag on a bead/surface of glass.

The murrini's that I have tried normally distort to some extent, so I'm wondering if its possible to make it happen?

Anyone want to give it a go?

I made one a few weeks ago, but it blurred cos of the red - mind you, I have that lovely maraschino now, so that would almost certainly do the job, I've pulled murrini with it already and it stays a lovely bright colour.  I'll have another go when i've time, it's not actually the most difficult pattern I've tried, mostly straight lines so a bit of judicious prodding with a stump shaper seems to do the trick  :)

Funny you should mention that. Me being me I've been thinking of trying my hand at making some murrini and, what with the patriotic theme to this year, that is the pattern that's been playing on my mind. I may have to think again if the reds I have won't do the trick...

I thought I was about to see something amazing   ::)

the reaction of red with everything else does make it difficult.  I have found 'valentine' very good though, it seems to stay red more of the time
