Madam Steph

I loved the look of this colour and ordered a bundle.

Im still on my HH till tuesday, with propane, and when I worked with it, it finished with a slight greyish streak.

My 13kg propane tank still has masses left in the tank, and as the colour is so delicate I tried not to over blast it, so can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong, please?

It may be that that's what Zachary does, or is it what I'm doing?

Lush!

I think I had similar problems with it, it seems very sensitive to propane so I left it alone  :(

i never had any problems with the Zachary i have, maybe its specific to that batch? In which case you are probably better off waiting for your dual fuel set up and working in a nice oxy rich flame

Same here.  Would you like me to send you a rod from my batch for comparison, never had any problems with it at all?  Pajama blue on the other hand, yeeuuchh.

I've been playing with zachary as I needed beads to match a dress I'll be wearing and it played just fine. Quite like it, it's like a pale periwinkle. Need to get myself some more - Shirley gave me the rods I used  ;D

I got mine when Frantz had the $5 a pound offer on, worth keeping an eye out for.

Thanks Sue, but i don't want to put you to the trouble of sending.
Instead I'll do as Gems says and wait until Tuesday and the Cricket.
Just FYI...here is how the bead came out:

I hope it works with the dual fuel, as it's SUCH a pretty blue

That definitely looks like too much propane to me.  I'm sure the colour will improve when your new torch is ready for melting  ;)

hmmmmm i would try soaking the bead in Coke or cillit bang, I'm not sure if it would work, but would be interesting to know if it made a difference!

Madam Steph

I'll try that, Gems.
I'm always good for an experiment  :P
