Hi all,

I found some Tuxedo buried under two bundles of CIM Olive yesterday (I don't even like green - why do I have two bundles of the stuff? ::) :P

Does anyone have any "hot" tips on using it - i.e. what colours does it work best with - and is it any good for stringer work - or is that the black that webs?? I can't remember... :-\

Thanks,

Mand  ;D

Trudi

I could be wrong but I think it's just normal black - hades will web!

Kaz

No it's not normal black - try some white dots or stringer lines on it and see what happens!
Julie did a write up on it somewhere - her blog ???

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Aha! That's where I saw it previously.  Many thanks Kaz!  I have a couple of beads where I've mistakenly used what must be Tuxedo in the past with red and white, and got some pretty results with silvering around the edges, but I didn't realise it was Tuxedo, I thought it was effetre black....

Ooh, and I thought it was just black when I bought it.  Goody, something different in the play pen.

Wish I'd re read Julie's blog. I bought some because I resented the price of Hades and I'm not fond of the Effetre one, pulled into stringer for dots, and yes it's indigo!

Nice over dirty martini on white though!
NB. Do not touch hot rods of glass, it is stupid.

Oooh, thanks Jolene. ;D  I need to play with Tuxedo... ;D

Alison G

Oh yes, thanks Jolene, I too will be playing.

I managed to make Stoneground go really gold yesterday but, like a fool, I didn't keep track of what I was using. Must make notes!
