Are there different grass greens? Mine says M. grass 591022 and intense black laced OK over it, not nero (I think) just thin stringer pulled from the only rod of intense black I have.

Thanks for all the responses and pointers (not to mention the eye candy!) so far.

I think the big lesson for me as a relatively new lampworker is that it might be an idea to write all this stuff down as I do it!

I keep meaning to but...............

Trouble is I get so engrossed in the glass making that I never stop to think about recording what I'm doing - most of the time not a problem as I keep the materials out until I can see what the beads look like and record anything particularly nice but it's a bit of a problem if I am playing with a techniques and using unlabelled odds and sods up!

Thanks again

Sandra

You are so good ! I never record anything. Just sit down and see what happens sometimes bugger all sometimes yummy.

Perhaps I need a plan ?

-scuttles off to get my little lace experiments- i will point out that i wasnt using nero intenso, instead i used CIM Hades, i had fantastic results on CIM Larkspur and Oz and effetre med. blue, it didnt work on effetre dark turquoise though and i only tried it on one opaque, effetre lime green and i got a really interesting effect, it webbed but also got partially swallowed by the lime so it looks very organic! (i've been meaning to try it on more colours but not got round to it yet!) The best tip i can give anyone though is use VERY LITTLE of the black and it webs much better!

I have them in a hot oxidising flame, and I marver too!
