I need to buy more dark ivory and was wondering if there is much or any difference between the effetre and vetrofond. I use it all the time, either as is or as SIS. For me the 'cracklier' the better. Any opinions from you more experienced types who actually know what they are doing?  :-\ :-\ :-\

Effetre is the better option for cracklier.

Completely agree with Sal, Vetrfond can be a bit flat sometimes, Effetre crackles every time beautifully

Vetrofond Ivory glasses are much less reactive with silver than the Effetre. Also the colour of Vetro dark Ivory that I have bought in the past is much lighter than Effetre dark ivory too.

So glad I asked. I have only used effetre so far and would have been very dissapointed. Thanks!!!!!!!

Vetrofond is really nice glass - it's just different. It's usually really nice to work with. I think the colour reactions are somehow "softer" than Effetre.

I have repurchased dark ivory (and some MORE DH, which is becoming a problem) and am very happy with the crackling I'm getting, so thanks again to you helpful people.
