Just picked up two lentil beads on my desk that I was really pleased with - only to spot that both have cracked completely (in straight lines but not down the middle). I thought I had used effetre 006 but I think I must have picked up the rod of CIM clear that I had been trying out for standard encasing by mistake. Anyone else tried CIM with silver glass?

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Hi Kaz

I've used it without any problems.

But I have had problems with a stoneground/pysche/effetre crystal clear combination. If I remember rightly it was a stoneground base with effetre cc over pysche bumps.

I made some beads with CIM Celadon and it was really shocky! Glass flying everywhere, and the rod cracking! :(

I have used crocus, psyche and encased with Lauscha with no problems at all. The bead was a kalera too, so pressing it was fine.

I love the celadon colour too Carole, it's beautiful! - Karin

I used Celadon on top of silvered ivory and it sort of pinged itself off wherever it touched the SI.

i think that celadoncan be a bit of a diva - doesn't like to be encased (at least not by me!!)

Not tried CiM with silver glass but I encased some beads made with base of Northstar sasha silver and with some lausha last night and the sasha silver has gone a pooey brown!!! Yuk!!!

I did Anouk's "Making Silver Glass Sing" tutorials using CIM clear and didn't have any cracking...............yet  :-\

It depends on when you purchased your CiM Clear. When it first came out early 2008, there was compatibility issue with silver glass. Kathy from CiM assured us that they would test with silver glass since so I believe the recent batches are compatible.
