The shopping pixies are nagging me....

I'm not sure this is the right board for this because, I suspect, I'm hoping for answers from boro melters, however, I am talking about 104COE....

Whilst browsing (and trying to resist the pixies intent on putting things into my basket) I came across 104 COE tubes (www.lauscha.co.uk). My first thought was "Oooo and they come in stripey coloured versions, I must have" but then it was closely followed with "Hang on, what do you want to do with tube anyway?" (That was the elf in charge of bank account balance).

So, my question is - What can I do with 104 tubes? Do I need some?

Clean suggestions only please (unless they are really good  ;) )

You can make: baubles, and vessels like wine glasses, beakers, jugs, and stuff.

Or hollow sculpture:

Be prepared for a steep learning curve...  ;)

Heather (Kaloro) sells this tube and I've made a few baubles from it. I just use it as if it were a hollow mandrel that doesn't need bead release.

I can echo the steep learning curve!  I have started to play with boro and trying to blow boro tube (which of course is stiffer than 104).  It is fun, but my word it takes some PPPPPPPPPPPPP, still haven't quite got it yet!  Mind you, maybe 104 is easier?  I haven't tried it!  Why not have a go anyway! :)

RE my earlier post, heres one of the baubles,

It's 40mm in diameter

That bird is amazing! And I don't think I'll ever get to the vase stage! Pat, your baubles are inspiring and I'm sorely tempted. However I have measured the kiln door, a very snug 4cm opening, perhaps I should stick to beads for now

Then again, nothing wrong with a dainty bauble or two.....
