Newbie Question.

I found this pale green clear rod, it has a tuffnells label on and is marked at £16.63 for one eighth kilo.

This may be the most expensive rod of glass in my limited collection.

What is special about it and how do I get the best out of it?

It's a silver glass.

I found this information online for you:

Precision Garzoni Giovanna:

Recommended that you use a neutral flame when melting this glass at the torch. When you are ready for final color development, reduce multiple times and tease the colors out at the back of the flame. The more frequently you repeat this, the better the color. Use a little heavier reduction flame  to bring the silver to the surface.

Thank you for that speedy and helpful response. So glad I asked.
It would have  been a shame not to have at least tried to get the the best from it.

I am going to have a weekend with Kaz and Les next weekend so I don't know whether to try it on my own this afternoon or take it with me next week.

It should make good shards but I think I have some anyway!

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

I've used this glass for storming - looks great over black!  ;D

I've never heard of this glass but cool storming. I haven't done any in ages...feel like a storm coming on tomorrow :) they are lovely Sue.
NB. Do not touch hot rods of glass, it is stupid.

Did them 2 years ago - must find my last rod and do some again - thanks to Ruth for reminding me about it ;D
