I've made a few murrini and have no problem applying them to beads but end up with the centre of the murrini hardly showing and the outer encasing layer and stripes being too prominent. Here's an example,
Any tips on how to get the central area to expand more? I've tried melting without squashing and squashing as soom as the whole of the murrini glows. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried putting a blob of clear on top first, Pat? Nice bead, by the way. :)

I'd try a little clear, flatten it gently, then add a little more and flatten again until you get the effect you want.

The thinner the slice the more the centre shows Pat.

Thanks all. I'll try that today.

Thanks for raising the question, Pat.
It happens to me, sporadically, but more than I would wish.
