Encasing with Lauscha soft?

It's beautiful glass but I don't use it because it can be so fussy with what it is happy to be encased over and with some of the silver glasses. Just wondering, has anyone had much experience in using it over Lauscha colours successfully?

I had a set of beads back 6 months after i sold them, all the clear had popped off, it was eff. white and L colours under the encasing, I wont use L. clear anymore.

I'll only use it over Lauscha now, similar problems to Kay.  But over Lauscha alone, with no other glass present, I've had no problems, even with frit added.  So far.  Those beads are only two months old so there's still time ...

I've used soft clear over twistie beads and my first implosions were using it, and those were in Effetre yellow and green (then I switched to the 100 clear for bigger rods). I haven't had anything crack on me yet. The oldest beads I have are from October, so 9 months. My lentil that's in my avatar was dark teal encased in soft clear, and has SIS and encased triton murrini.

I use the 100 clear if I'm using silver glass.

I *am* using a BeadCube at 520C, and I think it runs hot, so it's probably getting close to the recommended 527C. I did the makeshift polariscope thing with some clear lentils to check they were being fully annealed.

If there are any colour combos people are having problems with, let me know - I'm happy to try them out and warn people off them if necessary!

By the way, I should say I'm not suggesting that any of you are doing anything wrong with the glass or your annealing! If there's one thing I picked up from cracking threads on LE, it's that individual beadmaking style and setup can have a huge amount of difference on whether 'marginal' colour combos play well together or not. I don't want people buying glass they're not happy with.
