Hiya, It dawned on me maybe I should share what I do to keep my feet warm when at the computer and it might apply to people who are in cold sheds/workshops.

I use a heat pad for a cat called petnap.  molly doesn't use hers so I thought I'd use it for my feet.

Don't think you would feel the heat if you used shoes but deff slippers.  It gets to a nice 21 degree's and costs 1 or 2 pence a day to run according the the website.

Love "my" not "molly's" heat pad  ;D

Hope my tip can be of use, I certainly will be using it when I start torching again.

Interesting

I have something called a snuggle safe, it is a mircowaveable heat pad we have for the dog.  Wonder if that would work as well.

HH on Bulk,

Blue Box Studio

Thick socks and a cheap pair of fake ugg boots from New Look also works well; but then I'm short of sockets to plug foot pads into in the shedio.

I'm short of sockets too. :(

I like the cheap ugg method and primark have 'fur' lined slipper socks (xmas pressie) which I wear in my boot's because they are a little too big anyway.

Lovely toasty feet, and when i want to take my boots off my feet don't get cold cause i already have my slippers on.

hehe, well if you like me. A lizard, then maybe the heat pad will work for you.

My fingers and toes are really cold today, I might jump into bed for 15 mins to warm up  ;)

newspaper in your shoes, or plastic bags or bubble wrap is supposed to keep your feet warm ! Bit of a worry if some hot glass fell on them.

Dragonfire Glass

I have some 2.5 tog socks - very cosy  ;D

I have some very old Damart thermal socks - but even they are failing today.  The heat pad sounds a good idea - but I stand when making beads - can you stand on them?

Rikki

That is such a good idea-maybe you should market it for lamp workers!! I'm going to look for one of those. I get really really cold feet, this Christmas my chilblains had chilblains and I couldn't wear shoes for three days. It did mean I couldn't go to the in laws after Christmas though; forced to stay home alone and torch......!

Dont think you can stand on it as the sides might bend it. And the actual middle bit where I'm guessing the heating element in might get damaged.

Not sure I want to go down any buisness ventures just yet, not after the last one ::)

My feet are roasty at the mo  ;D

Ha Pat beat me to it.
I use a microwaveable wheat sack that I made, only it has barley in it and smells great.

I bought some very similar to these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GIRLS-BLACK-FAU-SHEEPSKIN-FUR-SUEDE-WINTER-BOOTS-snow-5-/280623301607?pt=UK_Clothing_GirlsShoes_GirlsShoes_GL&hash=item415673c3e7
Not only a bargain but not had cold feet since I got them, the down side is they are so comfy I forget I have them on and then walk muddy footprints on the carpet  :-[

Cor, those boots look yummy for warmth.

Pat, during the day it's Molly the cat who I sleep with if i have the time for a snooze.  She may be small but she's warm  ;D   Bart is at work, much to my disgust...... I'd love him to work from home.
