Pam

I have had so little time to make beads lately and guess what, found a couple of hours and you've guessed it the kiln is as dead as a do-do.
Have checked the fuses which are ok and now I haven't a clue.
Its a sc3 with sentry xpress digital controller.
Can anyone help?
The only clues I can give you is a while back (months ago) the fuse blew in the plug which I replaced -now ok.
The kiln did once wam up then cool down before the end of the program was reached but when I reset it it worked fine on a number of occasions after. Now nothing.
Hope someone can help as I have a very busy schedule ahead of me with no kiln  :-\
Thank you in hopeful anticipation of guidence.

Pam, ring Paragon! in the USA. They are extremely helpful think they are about maybe 8 hours behind us in time. If you go onto the internet and look for the website Dialaround or Cheapest calls, you can ring the USA for 1p a minute! I had trouble with my kiln in the winter and Paragon helped me. My call cost me 15p!!

Hope this info is of some use!  Karin :) Hoep you get your kiln sorted soon! I have an SC2 and a Bluebird

Thank you Karin will give it a try.

Is there anyone in the UK that might be able to repair a paragon kiln. Its all abit complicated for me testing with various meters and still finding out I will need replacement parts? I'm afraid I've never been that keen on messing with electrical stuff. zzzzzzzzzz frightens me a bit.

Hi Pam,
I've read good things in the past about Cherry Heaven, who are Paragon repairers in the UK (at Corfe Castle), website here: http://www.paragonkilns.co.uk/

I made a mental note of them as I have 2 Paragon kilns, but luckily have never (yet!) needed their services...

Cheers,
Flip

Ooohh..yes..the guy from cherry heaven was fab!!...think his name's Robin?...it was a while ago now...anyway..he was very helpful and without having to send my kiln off we tried a couple of different things...it turned out to be the whole digital front bit....my kiln was going haywire, heating up and not stopping...it looked like a furnace in there!!!....let me know if you need his number and i'll do my best to dig it out for you ;D
