using fine silver wire

Hi everyone

Hoping for a little advice, i would like to get myself some silver wire to add some detail to my beads. Just to add some fine lines and little specs on them. i have been on Palmer metals and i am thinking of ordering the fine silver wire on a reel, but it ranges in size from 0.3mm to 2mm as it is very expensive i wanted to be sure to order the right size. They also have gold wire is this to add detail to your beads too.

The finer the wire the smaller the dots will be on the bead - I have the 0.3mm, it's a good size as it's not too tricky to apply but gives fairly small lines and dots of silver.

I also use the 0.3mm.  It's very manageable and gives good results too.

Having said all that, I would like to try an even finer one, to hopefully get even smaller dots etc.
Also, take care with wire wrapped on the outside, I rarely do it now without encasing it, as unfortunately the blobs can come off with wear, especially if they have a slightly spikey end to them, so if I do use it on the outside I tend to marver it down into the glass and check for spikey ends to the blobs. I do love the way it looks though, and maybe it's not so bad with finer wire..

Very exited! my silver wire has arrived and i am not working this Sat so i am going to have a go with it  and see how i get on. Even more exiting i have had a parcel delivered from Tuffnells i ordered lots of reactive glass Aion, Psyche, Triton and Kronos and some Silver brown and theirs more! some silver foil! i am going to have so much fun this weekend even though i have spent all my Penny's. I had a lovely mint chocolate too!  Spoke to Emma at Tunnels she was great and gave me some advice on a few things.
