I was about to order a carlisle mini CC from the US but I've seen an ad for a bobcat at a good price.  It claims that the flame goes from a bushy to a pinponit. Is this so, do those of you who have a bobcat find the flame adjustable for large beads and then stringer work?

Definitely hot for bigger beads and a fairly nice, compact flame anyway. I'm not sure how pointy it goes - it would depend on how fine the stringer work you wanted to do was. :)

Very adjustable - does what it says on the tin. I love it ;D

Thanks everyone for your input, it's great to be able to ask people who are actually using it and get such good feedback :)

The Bobcat sounds really good ;D

I'v just moved onto the minor from the hothead a month or so back...

I am liking the minor and found the transition really pretty easy.

I do think it could do with a little more flame control as it just dos'nt seem to give the pin point flame that your looking for.
